The Linari Lavabo Fountain is fashioned with blocks of concrete stone, which imitates the look of the stone blocks used to build the medieval Castle of Linari in Tuscany. This late medieval Italian city was the home of a grand castle that for a short time held sovereign independence until it was acquired by Florence in the late 13th century. The city of Linari overlooks some of the most beautiful landscapes in the region. This area of Tuscany was long protected by farming stewards who maintained the land in pristine form. This fountain has a front concave space that holds the Lavabo waterspout. The water pours down into the front basin.
