Pan Statue
This elegantly crafted statue represents the woodland god Pan. This elegant sculputure sends out a stream of water from a shepherd's pipe. Pan invented the shepherd's pipe also known as the syrinx. Pan was a popular deity after the fifth century BC in both Greece and Egypt. The word Pan in Greek means 'all' and in later centuries, Pan came to symbolize the universe and all that is. In this sense, although Pan was part of a polytheistic theology, the concept of Pan lends itself well to monotheistic ideas. Pan is strongly associated with nature and this cast stone statue will be a great addition to any garden.
